A new shaman training class for beginners will start soon, so if you’ve felt an urge to explore the shamanic path, or even if you have been curious about it or wish to experience its sacred ways, I invite you to consider enrolling right away. A few people have already reserved their places for the five-month course, and there is still room for you. I prefer small class sizes (four to six people) in order to devote more time to each student, so you can be assured that you will receive personal attention each time the group meets.
Once there is a sufficient number, we will all find a compatible start date via an email exchange, and that way you get to choose a day and date you are comfortable with. All materials are included in the cost, and a payment plan is available. I will also provide a drum to play (and will teach you how to play it) if you don’t have one.
Each class includes extensive experiential training where you will learn how:
to play the sacred drum and rattle
to make your own medicine bag
to do your own shamanic journey
to help yourself and others spiritually heal
to retrieve power animals for yourself and others
to perform soul retrieval
to extract and negate negative energy from others
to perform divination in a variety of ways
and to learn many other techniques intended to benefit yourself and others
When you have completed the course, you will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment.
So, if you have felt Spirit leaning into you, urging you to grow and to awaken the healer within, now is the perfect time to step onto the path. I hope you will join the circle today!
Thank you, thank you for attending the Healing Festival this past weekend!
What a great time!
This was the busiest Festival so far, I believe, with the most vendors, healers and attendees ever in attendance, and the weather made the whole affair perfect. The Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown provides a first rate venue for such a gathering, with spacious, clean facilities and a first rate staff. In fact, the Center is remarkable, given that E-Town is not that big a city. Event organizer Virginia Gilpin is as gracious a host as you’ll ever meet.
And yes, we had a booth, with a host of Thunder Valley Drums, herbs and other supplies all fitted onto a six-foot table! Well, okay, we had to put some of the items under the table until some things were sold to make room.
So, all in all, it was a splendid weekend. And I sure recognize that none of it would have happened without your beautiful support. So we thank you from our hearts.
I’ll be leading a shamanic drum circle at 5 p.m. this Saturday (Jan. 17, 2015) during the Healing Festival here in Elizabethtown. (See previous post for more details.) It will begin with a short talk about the sacred healing power of drums, and ways to incorporate that “medicine” power into your daily life. Then we’ll all drum up some of that medicine!
So bring your drum if you have one (I’ll have a few available, too), or just join the circle to share your beautiful energy (and to receive some as well).
We will have a booth at the Festival, of course, and you’ll get to see some wonderful NEW shamanic drums. Oh my, there are some real beauties waiting for you! I’m excited to introduce a whole new line of Budget Drums, a new Lightning-Struck Drum, and some delightful new hoop drums made in the style of the oldest drums known to humans.
It will be an honor to meet you, my friend, and I look forward to spending some time with you during this festival dedicated to many paths of service, friendship and spiritual exploration. It will be a wonderful time to connect with Spirit!
