Winter has stopped by for a visit here, and from the perspective of my office window, it looks as though it likes the place so much that it’s going to hang around a while. Lengthening icicles grow menacingly from the eves, which according to the lore I learned back in West Virginia, means the snow is going to deepen. Temperatures are plunging, headed toward a record minus 15 tonight. The car merely growled when I tried to start it earlier today, so I won’t be able to take drums to the post office for shipment today.

Yes, I’ve decided to change the name back to the original that I started with on my first site years ago. I have always felt it best reflects my attitude toward the precious drums that want to be born in service to healers. I will also maintain the current Thunder Valley Drums site, and allow this one to present a more modern, mobile-friendly persona. The new one will also have a shopping cart!
I know, I know, a shopping cart is a small thing. But it was such a vexation when we tried to attach one to the old site that technicians from the hosting service finally told me to abandon the idea and to make a new site on more modern architecture. So besides being a midwife to birthing drums, I’m now celebrating the gestation and impending birth of a new Website. My Celtic side is quite happy about this, for it is Imbolc, the advent of Spring, a time for new beginnings, the freshening of life, the blooming of expression. It’s when the lambs are born.
So I’m warming to the new HTML5 code, whipping out some heated copy and paste commands, uploading a veritable firestorm of files and otherwise igniting a hot new Website on the coldest day of the year. Way cool. Midwifing a Website.
