New Consolidated Site Coming In April!

One would think my little business is an empire! What with two websites and a big ol’ blog, it appears massive. I mean, even L.L. Bean or Apple have only one apiece!

Truth is, I started this site because the old site wasn’t what I needed, too slow and clunky, not mobile friendly, no room for the blog, yet its contract with the ISP still had a long way to go. The administrative and design time for all these sites ate up lots of precious time that prevented me from doing what I love— making drums!

Well, at last I’ve found a new home that can accommodate all three. So, I’m pleased to announce that there will be a NEW SITE COMING IN APRIL! This site, the old site and the blog will be consolidated into one. More details soon.

Aho & Namaste,

New Lightning Drum Is Running With The Wind

Delighted to introduce the newest Lightning Drum, Wind Horse. Born the moment that a Lightning Being merged with a sacred maple tree on a high hill in Shepherdsville, KY, the Wind Horse began singing the song of the great life force symbolized in its name centuries ago in a shamanic culture on the other side of the world.

Two years in the making, the Wind Horse is now free reign and running with the wind. I invite you to click the image to learn more about this beautiful drum’s powerful medicine and dedicated heart. Link:

It’s been long overdue! So at last the NEW Thunder Valley Drums site will premier on September 15. Excited!

You’ll find it a lot easier to navigate, and it’s prettier too. In addition, you’ll discover TWO new initiatives to help communities in need. (More on that later.) So stay tuned!

Aho & Namaste,

See You At The Healing Festival, July 16-17, 2016

An illustration from the new TVD Website, coming soon! (That’s the bottom of a Thunder Drum with a drumstick, smudge sachet and its outside lacing folded over.) The symbols on either side of “Live Free,” which is the TVD motto, are Ogham letters which I interpret to represent the motto.

The next Healing Festival is coming next weekend, July 16-17, at the Pritchard Center here in Elizabethtown. I hope to see you there!

Vendors, speakers, healers, psychically gifted seers, and yes, even a drum circle (not sure of the times, but you can check the sponsor’s site for that). I’ll have several drums on hand so you can try out your favorite during the circle. New this year will be some very nice drum bag/backpacks, small to medium hand-sewn purse/carry-alls for toting your smudge and other stuff, some tea light candle holders, a LOT of medicine bags, plenty of new drums, and a unique SQUARE drum made in Peru (and only $44) through a Fair Trade arrangement.

We’re packing up everything this week in anticipation of having a great time meeting new and old friends. Hope you are one of them!

See you then!

Aho & Namaste,

Let’s Meet At The Healing Festival, January 2016!

Come in out of the cold next weekend, Jan. 16-17 for a warm welcome at the Healing Festival.
Come in out of the cold next weekend, Jan. 16-17 for a warm welcome at the Healing Festival.

I sure hope to meet you at the upcoming Festival of Healing & Spiritual Awareness on January 16 – 17 here in Elizabethtown, KY. It’s the perfect venue in a very nice little community center, and just right for sharing time with like-minded people on the spiritual path.

Of course, many healers will be on hand, and lots of them will be offering free talks throughout the two-day event. It’s a wonderful chance to meet them and spend some time chatting in a quiet atmosphere. Several vendors, clairvoyants and others will provide their services, too, so don’t miss out!

I’ll have many new drums (including the new Thunder Horse Lightning Drum!) at the Thunder Valley Drums booth, and a variety of other shamanic medicine drums, some drum bags (at last!), a LOT of new smudging herbs and burners, and a first-time offering of some gorgeous new wall hangings and colorful tapestries. I’ll be offering shamanic readings too, of course.

Admission is only $7 (and you get a $2 discount if you donate a canned food item), or $10 for both days. More information at the sponsor’s site:

I would love to see you!
